The Outstanding Senior Women Academic Achievement Awards were established as part of the University of Connecticut’s celebration of the 100 Years of Women at UConn in 1993. The Provost’s Office, the Alumni Association, and the Women’s Center sponsor the annual awards ceremony to honor outstanding women undergraduates (and graduate students from the Graduate School, the School of Social Work, the School of Law, the School of Medicine and the School of Dental Medicine) each year. The award recognizes those graduating women who have excelled academically within each school and demonstrated dedication to research and service to the University community. The recipients are selected by the Dean of the school/college.
