Ashley Brown

Ashley is graduating with a bachelor’s of science in business with a marketing major, communication minor, and a concentration in digital marketing and analytics. Continuously named a Babbidge Scholar, and counted on the Dean’s List since the Fall of 2018, she was also awarded the Academic Excellence Scholarship. Given her involvement in UConn’s community, she has won the Student Union Board of Governors (SUBOG) Committee Member of the Year Award in 2019 and the SUBOG Vice Chair of the Year Award in 2021. Ashley’s contributions to her fields of study include research that led to a paper examining the representation of the LGBTQ+ community in Disney films and a comprehensive study of Electronic Arts, Inc.’s strategic management, and the external influences of the gaming community.

Off campus, Ashley’s experience in Marketing is well-rounded. She has interned at Pfizer, Mohegan Sun as a Marketing Lead and Support Specialist, and Americas Brand Marketing Intern with the LEGO Group. In addition to being a stellar student, Ashley has dedicated herself to serving the UConn community. She participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Program, which aids international students in fulfilling their tax returns, fundraised for HuskyTHON as a former Co-Chair of Outreach, and works as an Outreach and Special Events committee member on the Student Union Board of Governors. Additionally, she a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and is a Husky Ambassador for UConn Undergraduate Admissions.

Upon graduating, Ashley’s expertise in marketing will be utilized as the Design Analyst for Corbin Advisors.  She will create presentation designs to tell clients’ stories and deliver Corbin’s insights through attention-capturing visuals and powerful language. She hopes to further her marketing career with projects that entail creative thinking, brand management, and strategic planning.
