Caitlin Schramm

Caitlin is a student graduating from the School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a minor in management, pursuing a rigorous plan of study and a concentration in corporate finance. She has been extremely active in UConn’s community, being involved in UConn Women in Business organization—a club dedicated to raising awareness and preparing aspiring businesswomen with knowledge for success—since her first year as an undergraduate student. From Vice President of Marketing to President since May 2019, Caitlin has dedicated herself to the executive board. In the nomination for this award, Dr. Lucy Gilson (Associate Dean for Faculty and Outreach of UConn’s School of Business) says, “Caitlin has played a pivotal role in this group for a number of years and under her leadership it has really flourished.”

Not only does she routinely coordinate professional advancement opportunities for this association’s 180+ members, but she also led a peer mentoring program and created an alumni mentorship program with School of Business’s alumni relations team. Her efforts have resulted in networking events with corporate leaders, panel discussion, and workshops. The peer mentorship program assists members in writing résumés, excelling in interviews, and becoming socially conscious professionals through diversity and inclusion seminars. The alumni mentorship program has invited guest speakers from companies looking to hire women including Prudential, FactSet, Henkel, Nielson, Otis Elevator, TJX, Gartner, Amica, and Synchrony. Using her collaborative skillset, Caitlin will work as an Operations Analyst at Godman Sachs, NY, after graduating.
